ENSTA Alumni supports Rakoono

ENSTA Alumni is pleased to announce the award of a 10K€ grant to Rakoono as part of the Crocos Entrepreneurship program. Presentation by Thomas NIEL (class of 2024.5), project leader.

"Every year, the level of French students deteriorates, and France falls in mathematical rankings such as PISA. The main cause: the lack of personalization at school. With overcrowded classes of over 40 students and a shortage of teachers, it's impossible for students to receive the tailored support they need to make real progress.

The classic solution is to hire a private tutor. However, the cost is out of reach for most families. Yet it's the students from the most disadvantaged families who need it most.

So our aim is simple: to offer personalized coaching to all students at a fraction of the cost of a private tutor, whatever their academic level or social background. We want to give every child the means to succeed. That's why Rakoono is the first intelligent educational companion that accompanies every student. It solves exercises step by step, re-explains concepts and generates tailor-made quizzes in Maths, Science and Economics (6e-Supérieur). It is also accessible 24/7 on mobile and laptop and has already helped over 30k students.

To support students in the final weeks before the exams, we're launching a new, free mobile application. Its aim: to make revision for the brevet and bac in mathematics as targeted as it is effective. The app identifies the priority notions to be reviewed for each student and selects the most relevant exercises according to their level.

But revising in June, when distractions are everywhere, is a real challenge. So to help students stay motivated, we've focused on gamification: challenges between friends, real-time quizzes, visible progress... The experience is designed to turn revision into a stimulating game, where every session counts and brings success closer.
