IESF scientific conventions: looking for contributors
ENSTA Alumni is a member of the French Engineers and Scientists Federation (IESF), and contributes to a number of its activities. To represent ENSTA Alumni, we are looking for:
Doctors and PhD students to take part in the IESF scientific convention on scientific knowledge
The aim of this convention is to draw up a report of proposals to protect and strengthen scientific research in France and Europe, for the use of elected representatives. In particular, it will address two central questions:
- How can we organize the reception and dissemination of scientific results in society?
- How is knowledge production organized to enable this reception and dissemination?
We are looking for 50 doctors and PhD students available for 4 working weekends between October 2025 and January 2026, selected on the basis of various criteria of representativeness and decided by drawing lots.
Students and graduates to take part in the IESF student scientific convention on decarbonizing cement
The aim of this convention is to produce scientific and democratic recommendations on a key issue in the ecological transition, in collaboration with industry players and future generations of engineers. In particular, it will address
- How can we move from 8% global CO₂ emissions to the net zero expected in 2050 for the cement-concrete sector?
- Which processes and innovations should be prioritized in terms of feasibility, scale-up and speed of evolution?
Students and graduates are needed for logistics, mediation and educational content, fundraising, communications... available in Paris on October 10 and 11, 2025, November 14 and 15, 2025, December 12 and 13, 2025, January 22 and 23, 2026, and March 6 and 7, 2026.
