Make us dream / RJMI
The RJMI are one of the student projects subsidized this year by ENSTA Alumni as part of theFaites-nous rêver call for projects.
As a reminder, the Rendez Vous des Jeunes Mathématiciennes (RJMI) enable young girls with a strong interest in mathematics and computer science to discover higher education and scientific research, chat informally with other young enthusiasts, meet students and professionals, and leave with resources and food for thought about their future.
A new edition of the RJMI was hosted at ENSTA Paris on February 3 and 4, 2024.
Around twenty high school girls worked on mathematics and computer science problems (particularly algorithms) prepared by the students, before presenting their results to the others. The girls also attended a lecture by Margaux ZAFFRAN (ENSTA Paris 2020), winner of the Jeunes Talents France L'Oréal-UNESCO prize for women in science. Finally, they took part in "speed meetings" to meet women scientists and discuss their place in science.
